Extractions & Surgery
Bite on the gauze for 45 minutes to stop bleeding. Avoid spitting, smoking, or using straws for 24 hours to prevent dry socket. Use ice packs for swelling.
Crowns & Fillings
Avoid eating until numbness has worn off to prevent biting your cheek. If you have a temporary crown, avoid sticky or hard foods in that area.
Root Canal Therapy
It is normal to experience some tenderness for a few days. Avoid chewing on the treated tooth until your final restoration is placed.
